Hello!!!!!!

Just a warning, this is detailed but you guys said that’s what you want!

2/01/2007:

Ok so dolphin encounters was soooooooooooo fun. I tried to upload the dvd of the dlophins but I can't figure out how to do it and neither could Ryan. I am going to try later but I don't have enough time right now. Anyway, we got to hug and kiss them and they were so cute! The best part of the whole experience was the footpush. You will all see it on video but it is the most amazing feeling, you feel like you’re flying through the water! After we got back, we headed to the straw market, it is definitely a tourist trap but it has a lot of native crafts. I got this really cute beaded bracelet. There were also knock-off purses that they tried to sell me for 60 dollars and the lady wouldn’t even lower her price! I'm not buying anything like that until Vietnam or China. So the best part of the day (well, second best) was Indian food! Ryan, Lindsay, Wendy, Ivan, Sam, Tiffany, myself and a few others went out to dinner. It definitely wasn't as good as it is in the U.S. After dinner and resting, we headed to a the local hotspot, Senor Frogs, where we had gone the previous night but this time there were a lot more SAS people. It was basically a really good time. Ryan actually went up and started dancing with an older lady! That made my night! I didn’t get a picture but Ivan did so I’m sure I’ll get it. It was a really fun night.

2/02/2007:

Yesterday, we (Sam, Tiffany, Ryan, and I) woke up and snuck into the Atlantis. We had met some people from SAS staying there (Dave and Kevin) and we used their cards to get some wristbands. The Atlantis is absolutely gorgeous! The private beach there was the most beautiful beach that I've ever been to. I actually got all the way in the water and was swimming in the ocean! (which is very unusual for me) We didn't bring the camera though. We also went on the slides. They had to convince me to go on the vertical drop slide but it was fun minus the MAJOR wedgie! Oh and Ryan and I went together on this intertube slide that went through a shark tank! We were enclosed in glass but it was still really cool. The sharks were actually laying on top of the glass (kind of like the lions were when we went to vegas). So after our beautiful day at Atlantis, that was totally free (the best part), I had to leave to go to work study : ( I got checked in and my curling iron got taken away! It was my fault actually because they showed me this picture of prohibited items and asked if I had any and I admitted to it. But when I got off the ship, they let me take it back. So now that I know they don't really search very well, I'm going to have Ryan bring it. Anyway, I got to my room, which is very small with an even tinier bathroom and went up to go eat. I made some new friends and ate with others that I had already met. The food was actually really good! They have labels on the food that is vegetarian! I had salad, but it was really good salad with romaine lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers. There was also chow mein, vegetable curry and desert! So delicious! After that we had orientation. I guess if you do the math, we make like 37 dollars an hour! At the end of the meeting, I found out my position is at the library...It wasn’t my first choice but I’m not going to complain. I actually work under a woman from Ventura! We were then free to do as we pleased as long as we were back by 8:30 tomorrow morning. He threatened that if we weren’t there, we better be bringing a check for 6200 dollars! So I immediately wanted to leave but nobody wanted to come with me! So I walked to the hotel by myself. I know, I know, that was really bad. But it wasn’t that far and I carried my curling iron as a weapon! Luckily, there were people there when I got there! And then we went to a salsa club! Very fun!

P.S. My favorite comment of the day: Girls are free, guys pay double! Haha!

2/03/2007:

After like no sleep I had to wake up for work study so early. But the breakfast made up for it. Seriously the food is good. Pancakes and potatoes and there was meat too. After breakfast, I went to the library to start my new job. I LOVE all my fellow library workers. Lindsay, Roxanne, Ericka, and An all work with me in the library. We are going to be shelving books and putting them in order and helping out with the computer lab. Over the next couple days we are going to be helping other students set up their computers. The library seems like it will be a fun job. Ericka, Roxanne, and I then took a tour of the ship. The gym and the pool are very small, but everything is so beautiful it doesn’t matter. The ship is so clean! Our rooms are cleaned everyday, our plates are cleared as soon as we take our last bite, and we are served drinks when we sit down. I actually feel really bad because we don’t deserve it. Anyway, after I got off work, I went back to my room and unpacked. Right now a bunch of us are sitting in the lobby of the Towne hotel on the internet because it is free! So funny! Well I better go because I have to work at 7 to get ready to check all the students in!

P.S Supposedly Ryan is going to post his day but I don’t know how that will work out!

One more thing, please send me mail! Especially on my birthday!

Hi Sweets!
Thanks for keeping us posted about your world voyage. I LOVE all the detail. I hope that you will be just as excited about writing when you get to the other ports. Grandma says hello and sends you love. She also says she prays for you and Ryan everyday. I think you are blessed to have a pray warrior for a Grandma. How about you? I am very happy to know that you are having a great time. BTW, I sent you a postcard via the SAS website. Did you receive it? Take care and God bless you and Ryan. Let me know if and when you need dinero. Love you, Titi Yvonne :)

Heeeeeeeeeeey,

That sounds like fun! It definitely makes me want to do it even more! hehe... That shark tank water slides sounds CRAZY! And when you said that ryan danced with an older lady I laughed out loud hehe. Oh, I also laughed when you said that you got a major wedgie and when you said you went all the way in the ocean lol... Anyway, hope you're having fun! and does it cost extra to send mail overseas? How much!?

Love Kiki
